La Real Escuela de Viena

Fue cuando llegué allí que me di cuenta que si, que realmente era el picadero más bonito del mundo, con su preciosa decoración barroca, ese picadero que había sido construido para poder ofrecer clases de equitación a los aristócratas. La Real Escuela Española de Viena abre las puertas a turistas, curiosos y aficionados al caballo que quieren sentirse envueltos por la magia austriaca y el baile de sus caballos Lipizzanos.

La Real Escuela fue fundada en 1571, el título de «española» tiene su origen en que los caballos utilizados eran de Raza Española por su alto nivel en Doma. Actualmente en la escuela trabajan con los caballos Lipizzanos (Lipizza- Eslovenia).

EL CABALLO LIPIZZANO

El caballo Lipizzano es el origen de la mezcla de sangre del caballo tordillo del Carso, el caballo Español, el napolitano, el árabe y de Kladruber. Un caballo que resalta por su belleza, su inteligencia y su armónico movimiento. Éste caballo recuerda mucho al caballo de Pura Raza Española, y si vas allí veras muchas similitudes con él, aunque la raza del Lipizzano es una mezcla de razas y es ya uno de las razas más antiguas del mundo.

El Lipizzano es noble con una altura de 155-160cm, frente ancha, cuello musculosos, de espalda larga, ojos vivos y orejas bien proporcionadas. Los caballos nacen muy oscuros y gradualmente cambian su pelo a gris o blanco (tordo rodado o tordo) La Real Escuela siempre tiene un semental bayo.

Estos caballos son alegres y nobles, se acostumbran mucho a sus dueños por lo cual se le asigna un jinete a cada caballo para que saque lo mejor de él. Si se llega a establecer una buena relación con ese caballo y una gran amistad, ese caballo será capaz de dar mucho de sí.

THE LIPIZZAN HORSE
The Lipizzano horse is the origin of the blood mixture of the horse of Carso, the Spanish, the Neapolitan, the Arab and the Kladruber. A horse that stands out for its beauty, its intelligence and its harmonious movement. This horse is very reminiscent of the Pura Raza Española horse, and if you go there you will see many similarities with it, although the race of the Lipizzano is a mixture of races and is already one of the oldest races in the world.

The Lipizzano is noble with a height of 155-160cm, broad forehead, muscular neck, long back, bright eyes and well proportioned ears. The horses are born very dark and gradually change their hair to gray or white (thrush or thrush) The Royal School always has a bay stallion.

These horses are happy and noble, they get used to their owners so a horseman is assigned to each horse so that he gets the best out of him. If you get to establish a good relationship with that horse and a great friendship, that horse will be able to give much of himself.

ENTRENAMIENTOS

Por las mañanas se pueden visitar los entrenamientos matutinos donde los jinetes trabajan con sus caballos Lipizzanos. En estos entrenamientos se calientan los caballos y se hace ejercicios simples. Si quieres ver los ejercicios de alta escuela deberás ir al espectáculo, puesto que en los entrenamientos eso no se puede ver y si eres un profesional de la equitación exigirás más que un entrenamiento matutino.

Cada jinete es el responsable de la instrucción de su caballo, y por tanto se encarga exclusivamente de él.

TRAINING
In the mornings you can visit the morning trainings where the riders work with their Lipizzaner horses. In these trainings horses are heated and simple exercises are done. If you want to see the exercises of high school you should go to the show, since in training that can not be seen and if you are a professional horse riding you will demand more than a morning workout. Each rider is responsible for the instruction of his horse, and therefore is exclusively responsible for it.

INSTALACIONES

La Real Escuela de Viena se encuentra dentro del antiguo palacio imperial de los Habsburgo, el Palacio de Hofburg, del que es un anexo. Podemos encontrarnos por una parte el picadero y por otra los establos, donde los hay exteriores e interiores.

FACILITIES

The Royal School of Vienna is located within the former imperial palace of the Habsburgs, the Hofburg Palace, of which it is an annex. We can find on the one hand the riding school and on the other the stables, where there are exterior and interior.

En los establos también encontramos el guadárnes de la Real Escuela donde se encuentran todas las monturas y arreos. Un lugar ordenado e impecable que a cualquier aficionado le fascinaría. Personalmente a mi fue de los lugares que visité que más me gustó.

In the stables we also find in the gates of the Royal School where all the saddles and harnesses are found. An orderly and impeccable place that any fan would love. Personally, it was one of the places I visited that I liked the most.

En cuanto a los establos, también están muy cuidados y limpios, cada caballo con su nombre, sus horarios de entrenamiento y sus comidas. He de decir que en las visitas no puedes fotografiar nada, ni entrenamientos ni instalaciones ni los caballos. Son muy rigurosos en ese sentido.

As for the stables, they are also very careful and clean, each horse with his name, his training hours and his meals. I have to say that in the visits you can not photograph anything, neither trainings nor facilities nor the horses. They are very rigorous in that sense.

Sin duda alguna, Viena es una ciudad ecuestre y lo demuestra en todos sus rincones, si nos remontamos a su historia y a la Realeza, nos damos cuenta que Viena siempre fue una ciudad muy interesada en la equitación; en su legado nos deja los caballos Lipizzanos, La Real Escuela y cientos y cientos de carruajes que recorren las preciosas calles de esta hermosa ciudad. Una ciudad mágica y de gran belleza arquitectónica.

Undoubtedly, Vienna is an equestrian city and it shows in all its corners, if we go back to its history and to the Royalty, we realize that Vienna was always a city very interested in horse riding; In his legacy leaves us the Lipizzanos horses, the Royal School and hundreds and hundreds of carriages that run through the beautiful streets of this beautiful city. No puedo olvidar deciros que desde diciembre de 2015, las artes hípicas de la Escuela Española de Equitación forman parte de la herencia cultural inmaterial de la Humanidad, dentro de la UNESCO.
