Se va apagando la tarde sobre Doñana, y toda la naturaleza sigue radiando vida y color. Bajo los colores cálidos del cielo podemos contemplar el paisaje maravilloso del parque natural que nos hace avistar aves, caballos, ciervos y muchas especies escondidas en el interior del parque.
The afternoon goes on over Doñana, and all nature continues to radiate life and color. Under the warm colors of the sky we can contemplate the wonderful landscape of the natural park that makes us see birds, horses, deer and many more hidden species inside the park.
Doñana es un espacio natural protegido que se encuentra en Andalucía. Su gran extensión de las marismas puede llegar a acoger en el invierno a numerosas especies de aves acuáticas. Entre sus paisajes dignos de National Geographic podemos encontrar flamencos y linces.
Más de 300 especies diferentes de aves pueden verse sobre el cielo de Doñana a lo largo del año. Además es el paisaje perfecto y hábitat para los caballos marismeños.
Doñana is a protected natural area found in Andalusia. Its large expanse of the marshes can accommodate many species of waterfowl in the winter. Among its landscapes worthy of National Geographic where we can find flamingos and lynx. More than 300 different species of birds can be seen over the Doñana sky throughout the year.

Pero aún podemos pedirle más a este parque natural y es estar al lado de la aldea del Rocío (Huelva), popular por sus romerías, por sus calles de arena, su afición a los caballos y por su virgen del Rocío.
El Rocío pertenece al municipio de Almonte en Huelva, situada a 55 kilómetros de Sevilla, cuenta con 1500 habitantes pero en la peregrinación llega al millón de personas, además cuenta con 4500 caballos, por lo que increíblemente hay más caballos censados que personas. Además no sólo la Romería de la Virgen del Rocío atrae gente si no que , en la saca de las yeguas el pueblo vuelve a verse lleno de turistas y aficionados al mundo del caballo.

El 26 de Junio tiene lugar la saca de yeguas coincidiendo con la Feria de San Pedro, es una tradición centenaria que fue regulada por el Duque de Medina de Sidonia en 1504.
Los yegüerizos buscan el ganado en las distintas partes de las marismas de Doñana y las reúnen frente al Rocío. Después de ser bendecidos siguen su camino a Almonte.
Una vez allí, y después de recorrer las calles para llegar a un recinto donde estarán 5 días, al ganado se le cortará el pelo (tusa) o se herrará para propiciar su venta. Unos días más tarde, las yeguas son conducidas otra vez a las marismas donde permanecerán hasta junio del próximo año.

Si sois aficionados al caballo, este sin duda es un lugar que no puede pasar desapercibido en vuestra agenda. Además podéis disfrutar de alguna ruta por Doñana o paseando por la aldea rociera. He de decir que disfruté mucho de poder pasear por allí a caballo y que me gustaría compartir con vosotros más adelante algún post sobre la Romería de la Virgen del Rocío o la saca de yeguas.
